ATM3 transcription is induced by Cd(II) or Pb(II). Involved in heavy metal resistance. Arabidopsis thaliana has three ATM genes, namely ATM1, ATM2 and ATM3. Only ATM3 has an important function for plant growth. Role in Moco biosynthesis.
